Our Maine Coons produce kittens in Brown, Red, and Torbie tabbies in Mackeral and Classic patterns. Sometimes a stunning Solid Black arrives! The colors and patterns can also occur with white (in Classic Tuxedo pattern of bib, sox and mitts).
Daddy Tecumseh with his "Halloween" litter. He would not stay out of the picture so we gave in and we were rewarded with a nice portrait.
Our pictures are chosen to give as good an idea as we can of the colors and patterns our boy and girls produce.

Regardless of the color or pattern, our kittens sport the typical big tails, big feet and tall lynx-tipped ears.

They exhibit the distinctive Maine Coon personality, being foremost, entertaining loveable companions that tend to want your company not unlike a dog, and in fact, many love to retrieve. Most love to play in or with water (keep that toilet lid down!), and often prefer to drink out of their paws rather than lapping up their water.

We frequently get reports of our Coonlets happily playing with toys in the bathtub or shower in their new homes.

They exhibit the charactistic voice of the Maine Coon, consisting of soft chirps, chortles, trills and growls but almost never a meow. If they ever do an actual meow it is hilarious how tiny it is for such a giant cat!
Initially people are attracted by the immense size of the Maine Coon, but after living with one, the most important characteristics become their personalties and behaviours.

Time and time again we hear people tell us that once they had lived with a Maine Coon they could never go back to any other cat. When we talk with these people, the conversation is always about the personality of their beloved Maine Coon and rarely is the size mentioned!

Until you have lived with the comical, intelligent and very companionable personality of the Maine Coon there is little experience that can prepare you for it. They are in a different world than any other cat.

Brown Mackeral Tabby kittens (...very traditional)
Brown Mackeral Tabby with White kittens  (...traditional with 'flair' )
Red Mackeral Tabby kitten  (very dramatic looking)
Solid Blacks and Brown Tabbies (Genetically they are all the same color but the solids have a gene that represses the tabby pattern)
Brown Classic Torbie (... note the richness the red gene brings to the coat). Only the females get to have this wild and gorgeous coat.
Three Brown Mackeral Tabbies, the most common color and pattern
Yes, they are littermates! As the only two in the litter, we were pleased they agreed to adopt the same family.
All of our kittens come with a written health guarantee spelling out vaccinations, and a vet's health certificate. Our written contract states that the kittens go to indoor lives and will not be de-clawed. Other conditions depend on whether the kitten is placed as a pet, to have a show career or to be bred. The parents are always screened for any heart or hip conditions before they are bred. Test results are always available.
Our Maine Coons have proven they can produce stunning show cats but the first and foremost criterion is companionship before championship. Many of our coonlets live happily in homes with other cats, dogs and of course, children.
One greets every child at 'his' daycare at the door each morning.
